Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out how the Recavo platform, cards and related services (the "Service") may and may not be used. It forms part of, and should be read with, the Terms of Service.

1. General acceptable use

Recavo is built for legitimate UK business spend. You must use the Service lawfully, for genuine business purposes, and in line with all applicable laws, FCA rules and Visa scheme rules. You must keep your account credentials secure and ensure your users comply with this AUP.

2. Prohibited business activities

The activities below are not permitted on the platform. We may decline applications, freeze cards, or close accounts where we believe these terms are being breached.

  • Gambling, betting and lottery operators
  • Cryptocurrency on-ramps, exchanges and ATM networks
  • Money services businesses (MSBs), including remittance and bureau de change
  • Adult content, services or marketplaces
  • Cannabis, CBD and other controlled substances where unlicensed
  • Firearms, ammunition and weapons sales
  • Multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes and investment clubs
  • Shell companies without genuine operating activity
  • Sanctioned individuals, entities and jurisdictions
  • Any activity prohibited by UK law, FCA rules, or Visa scheme rules

3. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • access or use the Service to commit fraud, money laundering or any other crime;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems, or interfere with their security or operation;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service except to the extent permitted by law; and
  • resell or provide the Service to third parties without our written consent.

4. Data, content and AI features

You must not submit to the Service, including to any AI-assisted feature, any content that:

  • you do not have the right to submit, or that infringes the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any person;
  • is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, or otherwise objectionable;
  • contains personal data for which you do not have a lawful basis to process; or

You must not attempt to use AI features to generate unlawful content, to extract the underlying models or prompts, or to circumvent usage limits or safety controls.

5. Fair use and limits

Use of the Service is subject to reasonable usage limits, including API rate limits and any per-business safety caps (such as a maximum number of cards). These limits protect the Service and other customers; circumventing or abusing them is a breach of this AUP.

6. Reporting and enforcement

If you become aware of any breach of this AUP, any security vulnerability, or any suspected fraud or unauthorised access, notify Recavo promptly at security@recavo.app.

Recavo may investigate suspected breaches and may, in accordance with the Terms of Service, suspend or restrict access, remove offending content, freeze cards (to the extent within its control), report to the Card Issuing Provider or authorities, and/or terminate the account. Where reasonably practicable, Recavo will give notice, but it may act immediately where necessary to protect the Service, customers, funds or third parties, or to comply with law.

7. Changes

Recavo may update this AUP from time to time in line with the Terms of Service. The current version is always available on Recavo's website.

8. Reporting concerns

If you believe a Recavo account is being used for any prohibited activity, please email compliance@recavo.app.
